Day 4 and almost the end
Thursday 20th October, 2011
Today was a HUGE day for us.
We started off on the play equipment because the Jumping pillows weren’t awake yet (they were still deflated). Once the pillows had some air in them Lizzie & I went and lay down on them while they blew themselves up and then we were able to jump on them.
After that we went for a walk along the beach. We did’t play in the sand we just walked …
and walked …
and walked …
and walked …
all the way to a surf life saving club where we bought some morning tea. We had some hot chips & ice creams.
On our walk Lizzie & I also had a look for some shells, they were quite pretty.
We played on some other play equipment at the club & then started walking back to our cabin again. So we walked, and walked, and walked and walked back to the cabin. It was a good walk and tiring. I tried as much as possible to not get wet but that sea stuff just kept rolling in and it did get me a few times.
We had some lunch & then Mummy & Daddy tried to get us to have a sleep, as if that was going to happen!
They finally gave in and took us to the pool to play in the water without sand. That was lots of fun and I even went on the water slide with Daddy. He promised to try to keep my head from going under which he did very well. We don’t have any video footage of this happening though as Mummy was in the water too and couldn’t take any photos.
Lizzie & Daddy went on the water slide many many many times and they had lots of fun on it.
Mummy & I got out and sat down and then I felt really tired so I had a bit of a sleep to rest my eyes.
I felt a bit better after that and then Daddy said that we were going to have pizza at the cafe near the pool and icecream.
After all of that we came back and had a bath to get all nice and clean and into our jarmmies & then went for a jarmy ride to buy some food for breakfast.
And now I’m in bed asleep.
Whew what a big day that was and it was the last full day of our holiday. It will be sad to say good bye to the jumping pillows cause they have been great fun. But all good things must come to an end …
As there is a photo of Mummy & I Chillaxing by the pool, I wanted to show you a photo of Daddy Chillaxing by the water.
Day 3 and the week is flying past
Wednesday 19th October, 2011
We got up this morning & Mummy & Daddy tried to boil some eggs as they were feeling a bit better.
After breakfast we went onto the jumping pillow…not just Lizzie & I but Mummy & Daddy too. They made sure that there weren’t any weight limits on it and there weren’t any so they came on too & we had lots of fun mucking around together. Mummy & Daddy both took lots of photos of us jumping.
After the jumping pillow we got changed into our swimmers & we went down to the beach again. We took our bucket & spades with us to build sand castles. I sat in the sand with Daddy & Lizzie while mummy sat on a chair and took more photos. Lizzie had a great time running down to the water with buckets filled up and pouring them over the sand castle.
Daddy took me down to the water but I didn’t like it very much. The water is so cold & I had sand everywhere. Someone really should tidy up all this sand!
After lunch and a bit of a rest, we went to the shop & hired some pedal powered go-karts & rode around the camping ground.
Lizzie & I kept swapping over from Daddy’s to Mummy’s go-kart & back again. We also played hide and seek in them which was heaps of fun. I did fall over though & so we had to make a detour to our cabin to get some bandaids to fix up my bleeding knee. We rode back to the shop & dropped them off again.
We then went to the cafe & got an icecream. We came back to the cabin & had some dinner & got into bed.
All in all, it was a great fun day.
Our 2nd Day Of Holidays in Umina
Tuesday 18th October, 2011
Today Mummy & Daddy were both a bit sick so it was a slow start for us. We went onto the jumping pillows and had lots of jumping fun. We also played on the play equipment. Lizzie & I rode our bikes in the morning with Mummy & Daddy
though I decided after a little while that I wanted Daddy to carry me & mummy pushed my bike back to our cabin.
We also went for a walk down to the beach to have a look & see where it was hidden. We have been hearing this strange sound like its windy or something but apparently it is the waves crashing on the sand.
Lizzie liked the sand & water straight away. We both ran down to the water & the water came in & around our knees & it made me fall over and then over again. And here is a video of the incident in question…
as you can see, I was the victim in a rogue wave accident!
And sorry about the video being in portrait, Mummy was using Daddy’s iphone and used it that way!
We’re on holidays
Monday 17th October, 2011
We’re on holidays. Mummy booked us a holiday up in Umina. I don’t exactly know where it is but it didn’t take as long as a trip to Katoomba.
We are staying in a caravan park and it has these big jumping pillows and a playground for Lizzie & I. It also has a great pool area which we’re hoping to play in later in the week. Tomorrow we’re hoping to go to the beach which is very close, well that’s what Daddy said.
We had a great afternoon playing on the jumping pillows & all the slippery slides & riding our bikes.
I’m sure there will be lots more to tell tomorrow.
bye for now…
A big day out in the city
Today, we all decided to go into the city to go to a job show at Darling Harbour.
We had to get ready and get into the car and then we drove down to Rydalmere where we waited for a boat.
We all got on the boat and it started off down the river. It was lots of fun. Lizzie and I got to see all sorts of things go by as the boat drove down the river.
Our boat had to stop at lots of jettys along the way to pick up other passengers. We finally got into Darling Harbour where we got off the boat. We walked along the edge of the harbour and then sat down to eat some lunch.
After lunch we went to the convention centre where Daddy and Lizzie went looking for a job, I had a good sleep in my pram.
After a while we all went for a really long walk all the way around to Circular Quay. We went under the big bridge and we got to see the Opera House. We caught another ferry boat all the way back down the river to our car.
It was a great day out with Mummy, Daddy and Lizzie.
Taking my first steps
I started taking a few steps. It is quite hard to do so I much prefer to walk & hold onto the furniture but Mummy & Daddy are encouraging me to start walking without holding on. They keep telling me that I need to be walking before the 25th September so that Mummy can put me in a dress for the wedding of Uncle Ian to Aunty Megan.
Dress ups & a Photo Shoot
Today was a big day for me. The plan was for Mummy to take me to Pixifoto to get some photos taken & receive a free photo. This didn’t exactly happen as planned cause mummy spent money on photos as well! Usually mummy is very strong when it comes to the photos that Pixifoto produce & she only gets the free photo but not today. Today she spent lots of money on photos of me. She says she felt a bit guilty cause this is the first time she’s taken me to get photos done.
We’ve had Aunty Megan take photos of us all & Mummy says that’s why she hasn’t gone to get photos done.
Before we went out to the photo place, mummy took Lizzie off to pre-school & Daddy stayed home with me. Daddy put some wings on my back & a fuzzy thing on my head & gave me a big stick with a star on the end.
And taaaadaaaa…. here I am
Walking Behind a Bike or Cart
I started walking behind my little bike. Mummy found some shoes for me to wear because we were going up to Katoomba for the weekend & we’ve been told that it was going to be very cold. once I had my shoes on it gave me a bit more balance on my feet & so I was able to stand up by myself without holding onto anything for a short time.
I then got behind the bike & started walking. Daddy & Mummy were very happy. I wanted to keep doing it. I had lots more practice in Katoomba as there was a cart that I could walk behind.
Here I am with my bike. I wasn’t walking behind it at this stage but it was the only photo Mummy could find that had me with my bike.
